Our final two weeks in 3rd Class!

Reader in Residence
We have been so lucky to have worked with Ruth, our reader in residence, over the last few weeks. We met Ruth in the Ilac Library on Wednesday. she introduced us to a new author, Patricia Forde and showed us how to find the books we are interested in, in the library. We are looking forward to going back to the library next week.
Thank you to all the parents who came to hear about all the work we have been doing in third class. We really enjoyed showing you our classroom and performing our songs and poems for you all! We can't wait to do it all again for you soon.
Thank you so much to all the parents who joined us for Halloween Art today. We had a great time making our imaginative lanterns.

School Tour, 11 June
We are taking part in an initiative from the National College of Ireland, Mayor St., for schools in the local area. Parents and volunteers come in on Thursdays to play Monopoly with us. We learn so much when we are playing, like counting money, finding change and problem solving. Thanks to all the volunteers and parents!
Mark from St Brendan's GAA Club, Grangegorman has been visiting our class to teach us some GAA skills and we have enjoyed it so much.
We have been loving our ballroom dancing classes with Angie, our wonderful instructor. We have danced the cha cha, the waltz and the tango!

Seachtain na Gaeilge
What a seachtain we had! We celebrated all things Irish this week and made an extra effort to bí ag caint as Gaeilge! Bhí muid ag canadh, ag damhsa agus bhí spraoi againn freisin.
Here are some pictiúir from the week.
We are so lucky to have a full set of tablets available to us in 3rd Class. Here are some of the activities we've been taking part in using our tablets to help us.
